What is a prealert?

A prealert is a method that enables you to notify us in advance about an incoming package. This entails providing us with the original tracking number and invoice, which facilitates faster processing of your package upon its arrival in Miami. However, it’s worth noting that this service is only applicable to packages that have a tracking number from a reputable US courier.

Are all imported packages opened? Why?

The procedure for opening packages involves three steps:

 

Confirming that the invoice corresponds to the items inside the package, checking for any damages that may have occurred during the transportation of the package, and providing the serial number or IMEI of electronic devices when requested by the Attorney General’s Office.

 

IRP Courier has skilled personnel who meet all the technical requirements to ensure the safe handling of imported goods.

Can the package be delivered to my home address in Costa Rica?

We offer delivery service to your home address within the GAM (San José, Heredia, Alajuela and Cartago). You can also pick up your package at one of our partner’s offices in the following areas:

We offer to deliver your package to your doorstep within the Central Valley/GAM (San José, Alajuela, Heredia and Cartago) within a time frame of 8-12 business days. Deliveries outside the Central Valley/GAM are delivered to one of our partner’s offices for pick up, the delivery time frame may extend to 13-18 business days due to transportation logistics.
