Here is a useful tool for you to check what the vehicle restrictions that applies to your vehicle. The site is a simple solution to a big problem that we all suffer in Costa Rica. The government constantly change the vehicle restrictions and its always confusing.
It all start with how the health department split the country in two zones to make to let the public know what are the areas with of high risk of Covid19. (Yellow and Orange)
The counties label yellow are consider less risky and the restrictions are a little bit flexible wile the counties mark orange represent higher numbers of cases and more restrictions.
The site starts with a map that marks all the counties that are consider orange. Make sure to check wish area do you belong to and used this site map for reference.
Just type the last number of your license plate in the blue box and the site widget will immediately show two calendars marked with 3 colors (Red, Green and Yellow)
One calendar is yellow (Zona AMARILLA) and the other Oragen (Zona NARANJA) so make sure you are looking at the calendar that applies to you county.
RED: Days of the week your vehicle is prohibited
GREEN: Days of the week your vehicle is allowed
YELLOW: Day of weekend your vehicle is allowed on drive.
